In this talk, Dr. Kenneth Gentry describes how in Chapter 2 of Second Thessalonians, Paul is writing about contemporary issues. Paul writes to tell that the Day of the Lord hasn’t yet come, but that it would come in their generation. The destruction of the temple happens in 70 AD, which Paul foretold in his letter to the Thessalonians. Dr. Gentry shows us the importance of the historical setting in understanding who is referenced as the man of lawlessness. The good doctor shows us through history and the Bible who that man proves to be.
